Today i caught up with 4 ravens. as i was walking through colliery woods, i noticed this deep Kronk call coming from the adjacent field i briefly seen two fly down to land behing the hedge so i walked along the hedge until i got better views as they were all feeding together on the ground as soon as they seen me they flew up calling one landed on a telegraph pole while the other flew they eventually flew over head calling and off into the distance!

Middleton lakes RSPB

Another quick walk around the site today gave a good number of waterbirds but overall quiet maybe not helped by a view cars worth of ppl with guns parked up by the quarry. surprised to see quite a few chiff chaffs with a small flock of reed buntings plus a mystery warbler which was very green but flew off as soon as i got binos on it.
