On monday i set off from bobby shafto and took the public footpaths through kibblesworth common through some lovely fields and wooded areas which eventually brought me to the main cycle path to kibblesworth i visited lamesley reedbeds which was dissapointing then when through kibblesworth brick works where i took some pics of a roe deer which stood its ground then i walked along the team burn/stream hoping to see kingfisher/dipper but the rain had raised water levels considerably, however i did spot a small gathering of greylag and canada goose also 4sedge warbler which was great as i havnt seen them in this section before i got onto the public fp up to low urpeth farm when a tawny owl flew towards me and landed in an oak i froze as it was unaware of me and watched it for a good 5minutes until it flew off at this point it was dark and i finished off my walk back to bobby shafto caravan park. Also on the way i spotted 2little owls which were in the same tree monday and tuesday, about time i tracked down some of these beautys.
A great walk, ive prett much followed all the footpaths in this area now and feel i know the area quite well now.
