gotcha grasshopper!

Set off at 6.00am thought I'd take a different route to burdon moor to look for the whinchat.checked out an area I used to use alot, hearing the grasshopper warbler a few days ago I still had the desire to search the area, and thats what I did and by 7:15am it had been heard and seen, well after around 3/4 of an hour staring at a reeling young hawthorn bush, then it gave itself away by flying into undergrowth and then appearing left in another young hawthorn bush which was around 30ft in front of me then I quickly grabbed my binoculars and it stayed in a small clearing of the bush allowing me to see it raise its little head and start reeling.chuffed to bits.could have been a great second.
On the way back from burdon it was still reeling at around 10am.
Also whitethroat Greenfinch,chaffinch,linnet,goldfinch, blackbird, wren,Dunnock, blue tit,willow tit,long tailed tit,2 female blackcap
